While our sitters do have a medical background, this is only to provide parents comfort and a peace of mind while they are away. Nurse Nanny is not a home health company and our sitters do not provide nursing services or other medical care, except in emergency situations and at no additional charge over and above standard charges for childcare. In addition, we do not provide childcare while children are sick.

Founded by a Pediatric Nurse Who Understood the Need for Trust
Founder Anna Kate Boyd grew up in Jackson, MS and has always loved caring for children and being a part of their childhood. She knows how precious the lives of children are and believes they deserve the very best care. Who better to watch over a child than the skilled and caring hands of a health care personnel?
She started this small business in hopes of creating a system for the community of Jackson parents to trust and value.

She relocated to Memphis, Tennessee in the fall of 2023. She works as a nurse at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and runs Nurse Nanny remotely.
